Día de los Muertos at the Rautenstrauch-Joest-Museum

Wednesday, November 1st, 2017, 2 to 6 p.m.

This year, the Day of the Dead will not just be celebrated in Mexico but also at the Rautenstrauch-Joest-Museum in Cologne. The opening of an altar designed by artists Liliana Cobos and Rosaana Velasco will be accompanied by a cultural program. Visitors can look forward to two performances by the dance group „Viva México en Düsseldorf“, a talk given by Felix Pestemer on his graphic novel ‘The Dust of the Ancestors’ and a screening of the animated film “The Book of Life” by Jorge Gutiérrez.

Program:
Opening of the altar  2 p.m.
Dance group „Viva México en Düsseldorf“  2:20 p.m. and 5:10 p.m.
Talk on „The Dust of the Ancestors“ by Felix Pestemer  3:10 to 4 p.m.
Animated film „The Book of Life“ by Jorge Gutiérrez  4:15 to 17:50 p.m.
